Rotary Club of Kirksville - Thousand Hills
November 15, 2018
PROGRAM - Sandra Williams; Director of the Kirksville Area Chamber of Commerce

Sandra told us about all the wonderful events taking place in our town throughout the holiday season.  The flyer below gives an example of many of the activities but she highlighted the "Cooking Up Christmas" and "Shop Small this Fall" events specifically.  Cooking Up Christmas will take place on 29NOV, starting with a vendor fair at 5:30. At 6:30 you will have the chance to sample some  holiday recipes prepared by the following local cooks:  Truman's President, Sue Thomas; KTVO's John Garlock; KLTE and KIRX Radio's Sherie and Steve Eklof; The Dukum's Gina Shorten; and The Cake Stand's Mindy Collins. Tickets are $5 each .  For more information go to www.visitkirksville.com/cooking-up-christmas/ .

Shop small this fall is an effort to get people to buy locally from our town's businesses, and this event will take place from 24NOV through 01DEC. If you purchase any item that is over $10 from a participating business during this time, bring your receipt into the Chamber and you will be registered to win a $50 Kirksville-cash gift card.  For more details, and to find out which businesses will be participating, go to www.kirksvillechamber.com .
