New Year, New President, New Program Ideas
Marilyn started out the new year with a new location and new ideas for our club programs. This week, we met at our new meeting place - Kirksville Parks and Rec Building. With it pouring down rain, some of us ventured out to 801 E. Mill St. to our new location. Elsie and Rick greeted us at the door and showed us where to go. Could this be the start of having greeters once again?
Marilyn wanted to start this month off with our first monthly in-meeting service project where we put together 31 dishwashing kits (to represent all 31 members of our club) for the Pantry for Adair County. The kits included two wash cloths, two dish towels a sponge, and dishwashing liquid. Below are photos of us after we did the kits and of Marilyn and Pantry manager, Krista Tinney, dropping off the kits.
We will be doing service projects each month. If you'd like to host a month, let Marilyn know.
